Step 1 - Sign up and get started

Sign up at www.aida.social

Enter your email and you will receive a magic link in your email inbox, check your Spam if you don’t see it. Clicking the link in the email will confirm your email address and create your user account in Aida.

You will be taken to the pricing plans page and you must choose a plan to proceed, but don’t worry as most of our plans have a free 14 day trial so you can try Aida first before you buy.
If you want to cancel your plan before the time is up and not start a paid subscription see how to do that at the bottom of this quick start guide in Cancel plan.

Calibrating Aida for your brand

The first time you use Aida you will answer a few simple questions about your business and Aida will generate some posts for you based on what you input, this is primarily to help you see what Aida is designed to do and get you going.
You can change any information you put in here in the BrandBrain later, so just use this to get started.

Once you have answered the initial questions you will see 3 posts Aida suggests, you can decide if you want to keep these posts or try again. Don’t spend time trying to generate perfect posts here as you can edit everything later, so accepting something that is partly right is better than repeatedly generating posts here.

Once you have done your initial calibration you will land at the content plan, this is a calendar view of your social media posts. You will see the posts you just accepted from the calibration.

Step 2 - fill in the BrandBrain

Now we recommend you to go into the BrandBrain and make some effort to fill in more information about your business. This will help Aida know more about you and make better suggestions.

Once the BrandBrain is updated you can return to the Content plan and start to create posts.

Step 3 - create some posts

This can be done in 3 ways.
1) Create a post for one day
Make a post - if you have an idea for a post and want to just make one post on this topic you can use this function.

2) Create posts for many days over a set period of time
Make a plan - use this function to create content for a defined period - a month, 14 days, a week or whatever you define.

3) Create a post from your website address
Post from url - if you have an article posted on your website, a product page or similar you can add the url (website address of the page) here and Aida will generate a social post for you. Aida can’t add your images automatically from your website, so you will have to download and upload these yourself if you want them.

Edit post

To edit any post you can click on the green pencil icon at the bottom of any unconfirmed post in the calendar.

Here you can change the image by either uploading your own, using the free stock library photos or generating a new image using AI. You can also change the text and hashtags.
If you have uploaded your logo in the BrandBrain it will be available for you to add to your images here.

Once you are happy with the way your post looks, click save. Please note it will not be posted out until you connect Aida to your Social media accounts (see next step) and confirm it is ok for Aida to post it. Remember - Aida will never post anything without your approval.

Step 4 - connect to platforms

This is an important and tricky part where you authorise Aida to be able to post to your social accounts. If this is not done correctly then Aida will not be able to post out for you. Luckily you only need to do this process once or very infrequently.

There are two places to connect to platforms - one is in Confirm post and one is in Connections in the bottom left menu.

Confirm post / Connecting to platforms

Clicking on the Confirm post button in the Calendar view will open a dialog called Confirm Post, here you can confirm the posting times, please note with continued use Aida will suggest the best time to post for you.

Then you must click on the Connect to platforms button to proceed.

Connect to platforms

Important points to know -

- You must have a business page to post to and be the admin of this page. Aida cannot post to your personal account.

- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) have a confusing way of connecting third party applications, so be prepared to be a bit frustrated here.

There are two important steps you must take to connect to the platforms

Step 01 (Authorise and identity you and the business pages you have)

Please note this first step is just for the platforms to authorise you as an individual and the business pages you administer. Aida will not and can not post to your personal social media pages.

Click the Connect button under Step 1

With Meta you will confirm your personal Facebook account first, if you are logged in then
In this page you will see the 3 platforms that Aida is able to post to, more platforms will come over the next everything will proceed ok, if not logged in you will need to log in and then go back to Aida and click the Connect button again.

You will now follow an authorisation process with Meta which will show you which business pages you have access to - please tick the one you want Aida to post to.

TOP TIP - if you think you will use Aida for multiple businesses in the future then tick off all the business pages you see now, this will make it much easier to connect them if/when you want to. Ticking off these pages does not mean that Aida will actually post to them, more that Aida knows you have these business pages associated with your identity. You have to authorise further if you ever want to use them.

When the initial authorisation is successful you will see the word Connected in green in Aida.

Step 2 - Confirm business page to post to (Identify which business page you wish Aida to post to)

Click the Confirm page (or organisation) to post to button

A dialog will appear with the business pages that you are an admin of. LinkedIn is quite straightforward and will show you every business page you are an admin of, but Meta (Facebook and Instagram) will only show you the ones you ticked off in the previous step.

Once you have completed this step you will see a green tick in the third column telling you if you have connected successfully.

Any connections you make in error just use the red bin icon to delete and start the process again.

Once you have done these steps you can Save and exit using the green button in the bottom right of the screen.

Teams

To add team members to your brand, go to the Teams page and simply add new users by writing in their email address and hit Send.

Teams is a function that is available to users of the Teams and Pro plans.

Analytics

Aida offers basic analytics for your efforts across the platforms. This function will be expanded and developed further in the coming months.

Cancel plan

To cancel or change your plan you will need to be logged in and go to Your account link at the bottom left of the screen inside Aida and then Manage my subscription.

A new window will open, and you will be prompted to Log in to manage your account - make sure the email is the same as the one you use with Aida. A confirm link will be sent to your email, remember to check your Spam if you don’t see it.
Click on the link in the email and you will be logged in to the Customer Portal managed by industry standard billing solution Stripe. Here you can do all your account management.
